Vitale Think Lab is a non-partisan, research-driven think tank headquartered in Singapore, dedicated to advancing ethically grounded scholarship and public reasoning on matters concerning bioethics, human dignity, and life ethics. Rooted in a principled commitment to the Culture of Life, the Lab affirms the intrinsic worth of every human being — from conception to natural death — irrespective of age, ability, social status, or dependency.
Through rigorous interdisciplinary research, public education, and civic dialogue, Vitale Think Lab seeks to foster a moral ecology that upholds the Community Charter for the Culture of Life — a shared ethical vision grounded in compassion, justice, and reason. This vision promotes human flourishing, solidarity with the vulnerable, and a social ethic of care that rejects violence, utilitarianism, and the instrumental valuation of life.
The Lab’s work is animated by core principles: the continuity of human life, the inviolable dignity of the person, the responsibility of care shared by individuals and institutions, and the pursuit of the common good. It critiques bioethical frameworks, ideologies, and practices that intentionally violate human dignity or undermine the integral flourishing of persons and communities.
To advance these aims, Vitale Think Lab organises seminars, publishes research, facilitates stakeholder engagement, and trains professionals in ethical literacy. In doing so, it contributes constructively to Singapore’s bioethical discourse and promotes a culture of life in the region and beyond.
